2023: Claire-Marine You (M2, Université de Bretagne Occidentale) - Use potential of the seaweeds of New Caledonia, bibliographic review and cultivation trials - co-supervised with C.E. Payri (IRD) and N. Bourgougnon (UBO).

2014-2017: Victoria Johnson (MSc., University of Cape Town) - Taxonomic revision of the genus Hypnea (Rhodophyta) in South Africa and the South West Indian Ocean - co-supervised with J.J. Bolton and R. Anderson (University of Cape Town). 

2011: Laury Dijoux (M2, Sciences de l’Univers, Environnement, Écologie Mention Océanographie et Environnements Marins, Université Pierre et Marie Curie) - Diversity analysis of the genus Halimeda in New Caledonia: morphological and DNA analyses - co-supervised with C.E. Payri (IRD). The work of Laury Dijoux was published in Journal of Phycology .

2010: Claire Ferret (M2, Sciences de la Mer et du Littoral Mention Sciences Biologiques Marines, Université de Bretagne Occidentale) - Diversity analysis of the genus Dictyota (Phaeophyceae, Dictyotales) in New Caledonia: morphological and DNA analyses - co-supervised with C.E. Payri (IRD).

PhD theses

2011-2015: Mark Rothman (University of Cape Town) worked on the ecology and morphological and genetic variation in Laminaria and Ecklonia species (Phaeophyceae) in South Africa. Co-supervision J.J. Bolton and R. Anderson. Two papers have been published.

2011-2014: Caitlynne Francis (University of Cape Town) worked on the taxonomic revision and biogeography of the genus Laurencia (Rhodophyta) in South Africa and in the South West Indian Ocean. Co-supervision with J.J. Bolton and R. Anderson. One paper has been published.
